Everyone likes money, darling. It's keeps people fed and all that good stuff.

[But she's not telling him to shut up, so that's a good thing. However she is pushing him towards the door. This really isn't the sort of conversation you want to have in front of the guy who got robbed and you're supposed to be turning in.]

Sure it does. That's why I rob little places like this.

[He's perfectly happy being pushed towards the door, at least. He probably shouldn't stick around here much longer, and besides, he's handcuffed. What's he going to do, make a break for it?]

There are other ways to go about it. Like picking up folks like you.

Yeah, well, bounty hunting's never been my kinda job.

Just prefer to make my livin' in a more honest way, that's all.

Bounty huntin' not honest? But taking money from people who've earned it is? Who smacked you upside the head as a child?

A fair few people, actually.

[He gives a cocky shrug.]

The way I see it, at least I'm honest about bein' a criminal. You break all kinds of laws, 'n pretend you're doin' the right thing just 'cause you're catchin' guys like me.

I catch guys like you so you stop robbing people. And how exactly is that supposed to convince me that you're more useful as a free man?

[trenchknives]

Because I could make you more money as a free man. You put me in jail, well, you get one payout from the authorities, 'n that's it. You let me stay outta jail, I can just keep on makin' money.

[water_wine_wizard]

And you're going to be giving me some of this money?

[See this? This is "and where's this bridge you want to sell me" face"

You'd probably have to let me outta these handcuffs first.

[water_wine_wizard]

You're probably going to have to give me a better reason that that to let you out of them.

Look, you took all my weapons, 'n everyone know you're turnin' me in. It'd be stupid of me to try 'n run away now. At least talk to me about it, see if we can't come up with a better deal.

[water_wine_wizard]

You can talk while handcuffed.

[She pushes him along as they walk.]

We could go into business together. Or I could just pay you the once, a hell of a lot more than you'll make on my bounty, save us both the trouble.

[water_wine_wizard]

What sort of business?

[She's curious, you've got to give her that, Jimmy.]

Well, I'm into just about anythin' you could name. Liquor, cards...

[The whole aforementioned robbing people thing...]

[water_wine_wizard]

[We're not going to go in to the whole robbing people thing...]

Card sharkin'?

[trenchknives]

Yeah, a little bit here 'n there.

[water_wine_wizard]

Are you any good?

[trenchknives]

Good enough to make some quick money.

He looks so baby faced there.

[She gives him a speculative look.]

[Grabbing him by the bandanna she starts leading him off towards the small hotel a few stores down. She's not bothered to uncuff him. Where's the fun in that?]
