That all depends on how you like your steak.

As far as I'm concerned, medium rare's about the only good way to have it.

That's because you are a man of taste. If you'd said you liked it well done, I'd have said I can't cook it; I'm not about to ruin a perfectly good steak like that. But I can certainly do that, and it would be a pleasure to cook for you.

Who the hell eats well done steak? I mean, that just ain't right.

[A grin.]

But I'm glad to hear you don't object to medium rare.

I think I'd find it difficult to object to you, either way.

[It'd be hard to imagine his grin getting any more flirtatious, at this point.]

I'll keep that in mind.

[She returns his grin, leaning up to kiss him again.]

All right, then. You, me, a couple of steaks, something good to drink... Sounds like the perfect evening.

[And of course he kisses back. How could he not? He's missed her quite a bit -- he's only just now realizing how much.]

I can think of one thing that'd make it better.

[And here come the suggestive eyebrows.]

[She smiles mischievously.] I'd thought that went without saying. After all, I need to show you properly just how much I've missed you.

Well, shit, you can bet I'm lookin' forward to that.

I am too, very much. And you're welcome to come round for it any time.

An open-ended invitation? You'll never get rid of me.

Maybe that's all part of my plan.

If it is, then it's a plan I damn well approve of.

It's not like my roommate is ever home anyway, it would be nice to have the company.

Well, I'll do you one better -- I ain't even got a roommate.

Do you have a kitchen? [Of course he has a kitchen, but it's whether it's well stocked enough for Ruby - she has a feeling she'll probably find herself bringing a lot of her own cookware.]

Sure, I've got a kitchen. 'n I've even got stuff to cook with.

All right, you provide the kitchen and the booze, and I'll bring the food.

It's a deal. I gotta get to work, but let's plan on that sooner rather than later, okay, kid?
