trenchknives: (frowning)

Yeah, well... you know what they say: ain't no rest for the wicked.

[A shrug, as though there's nothing to be done about it, as though business at a party is completely unavoidable. To be fair, in this case, it had been. He'd been sent here with one goal, and it certainly hadn't been to wander into what's obviously a private garden and flirt with a beautiful woman -- because he's undoubtedly going to start flirting, it's just a matter of time, and from the way she leans close to light her cigarette against his, she might not be opposed to it. He hopes not. That'll provide some entertainment, if only briefly.

He takes her offered hand, of course, wonders whether he's meant to shake it or kiss it, decides he might as well do the ridiculous, over the top thing and leans down to kiss it. It's not lingering, not overly suggestive, just a little ridiculous, as he always is. The fact that she wears a wedding band is something to take notice of, certainly, but it doesn't always mean anything. If he notices the bruise on her finger, he doesn't comment.

When he straightens back up, he finally introduces himself:]

Jimmy Darmody. Pleased to make your acquaintance. You enjoyin' the party?

[His voice is casual as ever, nothing sinister behind it, not like those phone calls she's likely come to be suspicious of.]
